About the Tennessee Arts Commission
The Tennessee Arts Commission, an independent agency of the State of Tennessee, was created in 1967 for the support and development of the arts.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Tennessee Arts Commission is that the citizens of
Tennessee have access to and participate in the arts.
The Commission operates under a governance policy with specific goals or "Ends
Statements" that guide the work of the agency.

state."
